What are the main connections from american airports to tulum?

Published on 2 May 2022 by Jackeline Gibbs On blog

Tulum is one of the most popular beach destinations among travelers from the U.S., Canada, Europe and South America. Why? Because it has the beauty and hospitality of Mexico as well as the most breathtaking Caribbean beaches and impressive archaeological sites.

Another main reason why Tulum is on most people’s bucket list is because it is an easy and quick destination to get to. You can find many non-stop flights from major cities in the US to Cancun’s International Airport, which is about a 90 minute drive away from Tulum.

Cancun International Airport is Mexico’s second most well-connected airport for international travel, and the third busiest airport of Latin America, receiving an average of 340 flights a day.

The COVID 19 pandemic didn’t stop Cancun, Tulum or Playa del Carmen from being top tourist destinations for locals and foreigners alike, since the Mexican government lifted travel restrictions as of summer of 2020. No proof of vaccination nor negative COVID tests are requested to enter the country.

The beautiful Mexican beaches, Mexican hospitality, amazing culture, beautiful archaeological sites and lots of fun and adventure keep attracting tourists from all over the world, especially from the U.S. and Canada during the winter months where everybody is willing to switch from snow to white sandy beaches.

According to ASUR (the company that operates Cancun International Airport) http://www.asur.com.mx/en/investor-relations/passenger-traffic.html on March of 2021 Cancun recorder a new record by receiving 5,118,866 million passengers at Cancun International Airport and by March of 2022 it had received 9’020’074 passengers.

If you decide to book your flight with a regular airline or with the vast list of low cost carriers, you will find many daily direct flights to Cancun’s International Airport.

Here is a list of the main cities that have non-stop flights from the US to Cancun international Airport:

    TAMPA, FL FORT LAUDERDALE, FL
    ORLANDO, FL MIAMI, FL
    CHICAGO, IL NEW YORK, NY
