    Camp Muay Thai Tulum

Published on 6 March 2023 by Jackeline Gibbs On blog

Tulum is a beautiful vacation spot of the Mexican Caribbean where people enjoy relaxing, having fun and being in contact with nature. Wellness, healthy lifestyle and adventure sports are also on the top list of activities in Tulum.

If you like to practice sports during your amazing Tulum vacation you can find so many options to choose from. Yoga classes, boot camps, meditation, cavern diving, reef diving, paddle board, kite surfing, snorkeling, biking, the list goes on.

Are you the type of person that likes to practice sports during your Tulum vacation? Do you enjoy staying active, fit and learning new ways to exercise while challenging your body and mind? Then we have found the right place for you, CAMP MUAY THAI TULUM.

Muay Thai is now one of the most well-known and practiced martial arts in the world. It is an ancient martial art developed over hundreds of years, known for its tremendous power, maximum efficiency, and raw simplicity. Often referred to as the “Art of Eight Limbs”, Muay Thai utilizes a balanced combination of kicks, punches, knees, and elbows with fluidity, rhythm and speed, a very effective form of exercise.

The owners of CAMP MUAY THAI TULUM had their own gym in Thailand as well as their own personal professional fighting career, fighting against top ranked world athletes. Six years after having their own gym in Phuket, they decided to move from one paradise in Asia to another paradise in Mexico, and what better place to relocate than Tulum.

They now operate an amazing and traditional Muay Thai gym where they have Thai style training that includes pad work with personal trainers, bag work, road work, sparring, drills, conditioning and clinching. They also have general classes available focused on intermediate techniques and drills.

Muay Thai is for everyone, men, women and children, from beginners to advanced, with one on one sessions with their coaches.

With continued training, Muay Thai will greatly improve your strength, dexterity, and cardiovascular performance, burning around 1000 calories per hour. This sport promotes fitness, discipline, self-defense, concentration, freedom and mind control.

If you are looking into exploring new fitness techniques and innovative exercise drills while vacationing in Tulum, Thai style – Muay Thai training Camp may be what you need, it’s located in Downtown Tulum, within  “La Veleta” neighborhood.

If you are new at this sport, they have Muay Thai Technique classes for people who want to stay fit and learn the basics. Classes for kids are also available, ages 6 to 14. Their basic program start at one hour sessions and their prices go for around $10 US per drop in class, $30 US per week or $75 US per month.

They also have what they call the “longevity class” designed to help the fighter’s body recover from the strenuous training. These classes are focused on giving maintenance sessions for the body and specific strengthening exercises to guarantee a great final performance, working on coordination, balance, speed and the most important goal, to prevent injuries, finishing the session with breath work. These sessions are available for members only.

So if you are feeling adventurous and are ready for a new physical and mental challenge, stop by CAMP MUAY THAI during your fabulous beach vacation in Tulum.
